What happens inside

Emergency response simulation workshops at FluxHarbor compress multiple seasons of odd failures into two high-focus days. Teams rotate facilitator roles so everyone practices calling the room, not only the loudest voice. We debrief language choices, not heroics. The sprint ends with a short written after-action template you can reuse internally without licensing friction.

Included focus areas

  • Four rotating incident briefs with escalating ambiguity
  • Timer-backed comms drills with coach notes
  • Stakeholder mapping worksheet for each scenario
  • Quiet rewrite session for public-facing updates
  • Checklist for when to pause and verify assumptions
  • Cross-team observer seat to practice note taking
  • Closing circle on emotional load, kept practical

Outcomes we rehearse toward

  • Participants experience three distinct facilitator styles
  • Each team leaves with two refined comms templates
  • Observers gain vocabulary to support debriefs afterward

FAQ

Is this physically demanding?

No. It is emotionally engaging but seated, with breaks every hour.

Can security observe?

Yes, with prior notice so we can adjust scenarios that include sensitive roles.

Limitations?

We do not simulate physical rescue or hazardous material handling.

Recent participant notes

  • The observer seat changed how I coach after real events.
